Today was a wonderful day, it started out a bit chilly but began to warm up in the afternoon. Joseph G. came by right on time at 1pm and brought the lumber we cut yesterday along with a Very Large sledgehammer (thanks dude)! 🙂 I got a pretty good workout today. We actually only staked in the first 3 beds then we realized it would probably be better for us to just build them above ground. lol. All the planning in the world couldn’t have helped us come to that conclusion, but things went by quite a bit faster after that. Joseph and I got almost done with the beds when we were blessed with a visit from the Marietta Daily who is going to be featuring us in an article on Mondays paper (Very Excited). Christian, Gabe and Brandon showed up soon after with some extra manpower.
Just want to say thanks to everyone for all your hard word today, we had the best turnout so far today with 4 volunteers and looking forward to even more growth soon. All 12 beds are partially assembled and a large section of wood chips are on the ground! Looking forward to the soil deliver which should arrive around noon tomorrow. We’re going to try and get the soil in the boxes throughout the day tomorrow and Tuesday then looking forward to getting our first plants in the ground on Wednesday! Stay tuned for more updates!
