Yesterday we looked at the Lord repenting of evil, a very heavy topic which we should probably spend a few weeks discussing, but we don’t have a few weeks, we get one day for the morning watch and then we gotta move on to the next day and the next and the next… Today we begin at chapter 33.
God begins by instructing Moses where to go, but He is going to send an angel with them rather than go himself because the people are stiffnecked… Stubborn and they couldn’t handle having God in their midst. This made the people sad. And so Moses pitched the tabernacle and went in to speak with God. This is where it gets good. God actually came into the tabernacle and spoke to moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.. Wow, Moses saw God face to face!!!
I’m curious here in verse 20 it says Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. God just said in verse 11 that the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, then it 20 shall no man see me and live. But Moses saw God Face to face and He didn’t die? What the heck is going on here? Some of this stuff just doesn’t make any sense to me at all.
